Atlas World Group
Alan Mueller facilitated manager training at Atlas World Group. He did an exceptional job at engaging all employees through some tough topics and helped navigate them on why it matters, as he reminded us regularly throughout the 4-part series “all teams are diverse”. His sense of humor quickly put the group at ease, and many employees would have side conversations with him through-out our breaks and at the end of sessions -instead of racing back to their desks!
He provided practical tools to help our managers create cohesive team dynamics and lead with empathy and understanding. His depth of knowledge of the Myers-Briggs is impressive, and our managers found this to be so helpful in understanding their “professional self” versus their “personal self” and many are having their team complete the testing so they can ensure they are communicating to them in the best way possible. We really enjoyed having Alan and have received positive feedback from employees about the experience.

Alan Mueller did an exceptional job engaging employees across all roles and backgrounds. His ability to relate to a wide variety of individuals made the sessions feel inclusive and accessible, and his natural sense of humor quickly put the group at ease. The training was clear, practical, and energizing, and employees consistently commented on how comfortable and connected they felt throughout the experience. We truly appreciate the positive impact he has had on our team. We look forward to continuing to partner with Alan and his team at Adaptive Challenge Consulting.

Dr. Mueller is approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. His workshops, interspersed with amusing anecdotes, offer valuable insights that participants often don’t realize they need. He isn’t afraid to address important topics, even when the audience may not be ready to hear them. The sessions are engaging, thought-provoking, and applicable both in the workplace and in life in general.
My team and I have attended his Difficult Conversations, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, and Effective Communication and Inclusive Language seminars, and each one provided practical guidance we could apply immediately. Each workshop was a meaningful, eye-opening experience from start to finish.

Alan joined the CSUSB Enrollment Management team to share his expertise on culturally responsive customer service. The team, many of whom were new to the concepts presented, were excited by and engaged with his content, finding it informative and accessible. The team came away from the session empowered to use the concepts and with specific ways it could be applied to their particular work. I am thankful that Alan was willing to make the trek to California to spend time with us to do this critically important training.

Dr. Alan Mueller has come to speak with our staff as part of our WakeUP Series on topics such as "Working Together Using the Myers-Briggs Psychological Type Indicator" and "Leadership and Teamwork" and we are already planning for him to come back this year to work with us on various other topics to include improv and other items! A dynamic presenter, Dr. Mueller infuses his infectious energy with humor, humility, and wisdom. Our staff love having him and his presentations have become a "must-see". He is extremely engaging and would recommend any organization bringing him in to work with staff.

Alan facilitated a retreat workshop for University College at North Carolina Central University and his presentation was a highlight of our semester. University College staff continue to reiterate how well Alan was able to communicate and relate to them even though this was the first time he had met my staff. His presentation came at a critical time for University College to give our staff confidence as well as ways that we can work better together. During our retreat, Alan helped our staff come together, have fun, unwind, and learn about each other. His personality, his professional demeanor, and his communication make Alan stand out. University College is stronger thanks to working with Alan. We will be working with him again in the future.

Town of Carrboro
Adaptive Challenge Consulting delivered a powerful and transformative experience for the Town of Carrboro’s Management Team. Tyshea Lewis laid a strong foundation in facilitating an initial retreat for our team to build trust, team cohesion, and equity-focused leadership. Dr. Alan Mueller led a second retreat with an engaging and energizing Myers-Briggs session that provided practical tools for leading, communicating, and thriving across differences. My team connected with Dr. Mueller’s humor, authenticity, creative storytelling, and remarkable MBTI expertise, allowing them to fully engage and absorb the content. The impact was immediate. Staff left feeling more connected, supported, and equipped to understand each other and how to lead effectively. We are grateful that we selected Adaptive Challenge Consulting for our management retreats and we look forward to continuing our work with them for future leadership development opportunities.

We brought in Alan for a MBTI workshop with staff members who facilitate leadership development workshops with undergraduate students. One of our workshops touches on the MBTI, so not only did we want our staff to have a better understanding of the instrument, but we also wanted them to utilize this tool to personally develop and gain insight into their own interactions, both personally and professionally. Alan had wonderful and engaging activities for us to work through and really helped us take a much deeper dive into the MBTI. He kept things fun and had plenty of examples to make the material relatable. We really enjoyed our experience with Alan and our attendees had really positive feedback!
